Alyssa’s breakout role was in the hit TV series Vikings, shot in Ireland and created and written by Michael Hirst (Elizabeth, The Tudors). In her role as Aslung, the wife of Viking chief, Ragnar, she worked alongside Gabriel Byrne and Travis Fimmel. A long road trodden, Alyssa’s star is shining bright in the world of film and television.

Recently, Schon magazine featured Sutherland in a story about her latest TV role, her insights into the world of modelling and looking at her acting trajectory. The Mist is an appropriation of Stephen King’s original 1985 story, The Novella. To be aired on Spike TV, the series “centres around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout, an eerie mist rolls in suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and in some cases, each other.”

Sutherland revealed, “I only read the pilot before being offered the role… I really liked what Christian has highlighted in terms of how a victim of sexual assault can be blamed and shamed by society at times.”
