2018 Calendar Girls celebrates the beauty and creativity of Australian talent globally. A fashion network of 12 strong, inspirational and independent women took part in this collaborative venture.
The idea was originally conceived by Scoop Model Amy Finlayson and Richard Nicoll in 2016, before Nicoll’s untimely passing. Inspired by his memory, Finlayson, the multidisciplinary artist Bartolomeo Celestino and the 2018 Calendar Girls brought the project to fruition. All of the sale profits will be donated to the National Heart Foundation.
The calendar was photographed by Celestino in Australia, the USA and the UK. The images were conceptually driven and capture a timeless beauty. The 2018 Calendar Girls sat for their portraits wearing 100% Australian merino wool from Jac+Jack, Double Rainbouu and Pony Rider.
“Funds raised from the calendar will assist the Heart Foundation in its quest to deliver an Australia free of heart disease,” said Kerry Doyle, Heart Foundation’s NSW Chief Executive.
“The money will allow the Heart Foundation to fund best in class research, health programs that deliver positive health outcomes and education and awareness campaigns to help Australians become better prepared to prevent and manage heart disease. It will also assist with developing guidelines for health professionals and to support people living with heart disease and their families and carers.”
